some information regarding this camp
Camp Aquanuschioni and Seven Mountains Scout Camp (Juniata Valley Council, Reedsville, PA) are the same camp. At one point in the camps history, it switched its name. That is all I can add but someone from the council should be able to provide more information. This information is documented in the Seven Mountains Scout Camps history book published 15-20 years ago (I remember copies still being available through the council office).

additional information
Camp Aquanuschioni was the name given initially to the current Camp Seven Mountains. The area in which the camp is located was always known as Seven Mountains. The council was given the property in 32-33 . It was opened as the official council camp in 1933. It was called Camp Aquanuschioni thru the summer of 1936. In 1937 the name was changed to Camp Seven Mountains and has remained that ever since. The name Aquanuschioni was the name given to the several summer camps the council had from 28-32. During these years the council summer camp was held at different site in the council- farmland pasture along the Juniata River, along Shavers creek etc. It moved every summer. My father attended 2-3 of the Aquanuschioni Camps in the years 28-30.It was told to me that the name was an Indian word meaning The place where the tribes gather. ( or something similar to that). The local Indian tribes include Shawnee, Oneida, Mohawks, and Tucarora. Most were members of the Iroquois Confederacy,at least at some point. I have not been able to place the word with any one language. I was told that in spite of trying hard to get the Camp Aquanuschioni name to stick or be well accepted for 4 summers it did not happen. Therefor in 1937 they officially changed the name to Camp Sevens Mountains.
