Camp Cochipianee was near the town of Goshen, Connecticut, in the western part of the state. Camp Nahaco was first named Camp Keemosahbee, and is located near the town of Eastford, in northeastern Connecticut. After the merger of Bristol Council (for which Cochipianee was the flagship camp) and Keemosahbee Council in 1967, summer camp seasons ceased at Cochipianee, as it was a small camp compared to Camp Keemosahbee, which was renamed Camp NaHaCo (shortened form of Nathan Hale Council, the name of the resultant council from the merger)
